Recently, he has revealed that from his long time experience in teaching weight losing, the number 1 thing to remember is dieting. He said he used to think you can beat everything you eat out of you, but in fact it is just not the case. Then it comes to the right exercise or work out to further ensuring a successful weight loss.
He is helping obese people, some with 50kg overweight, to lose weight in a regular and balanced manner through his show and DVD, as well as his best selling book, The Skinny Rules. His well balanced workout and exercise routine mainly focus on lunges and other core-strengthening moves.
He also working with people who are 227 kg in Crossfit challenge on a regular basis. Accoring to Harper, Crossfit has well-balanced work out that ensure everyone can do the thing at their level with proper coaching.
Dr Mark Kelly, an exercise physiologist at the American Council on Exercise, cautioned that “Crossfit has very ballistic training.”. “You are asking people to move fast through a large range of motion. Even with coaching, the foundation of stability, mobility and psychomotor skill has to be laid first”, he said.
Dr Kelly agreed that diet is the main factor that can lower weight, but it’s exercise, he added, that keeps the weight off.
